Jela Foundation Primary School, Limbé, Haiti

Mission
Our mission is to relieve poverty, sickness and suffering by providing free education for children and young people in Haiti.
Jela Foundation Primary School in Limbé has been providing free education for more than 300 school children since 2007. We are working to provide one meal a day to every child and to continue paying school teachers monthly.
We appeal to all supporters to help us raise enough funds to equip these children with the tools to break the cycle of poverty and build a brighter future for their families.
"Without your generosity, the work that Jela does to change, improve and beautify the lives of so many children in Haiti would not be possible."
— Jela Hope Centre
Aims
Ensuring the welfare of young people through direct programmes and sustained community support.
Quality schooling at no cost for children from impoverished families and orphaned youth who would otherwise have no access to learning.
Providing meals and fresh drinking water to pupils, working toward one meal every school day.
Paying the monthly salaries of 8 teachers so education is never interrupted by economic pressures in the community.
Running an English club to give young people the language and social skills they need for a more independent life.
Hosting games, mentorship sessions, and conferences to build confidence, leadership, and community belonging.
Assisting 20 orphans at Children of Hope Centre in Mirebalais, with plans to relocate to Northern Haiti for greater security.
Objectives
Jela Hope Centre is a registered organisation in Haiti. Our objectives are formally established and transparently pursued.
Providing free education to orphans and families affected by chronic poverty in Haiti, removing all financial barriers to learning.
Funding orphanages and support services, enabling staff to feed poor families and children daily across Haiti.
Acquiring land and building a secure facility in Northern Haiti for the 20 orphans at Children of Hope Centre — a state-recognised orphanage currently operating in Mirebalais near Port-au-Prince.
Providing literature and guidance that teaches young people how to adopt an effective, purposeful approach to life.
Supporting youth clubs in Limbé with practical tools and guidance so young people can build successful, independent futures.
Impact
Every donation reaches those who need it most.
Students & Teachers
Behind every number is a face, a family, and a future. The children at Jela Foundation Primary School come from some of the most disadvantaged communities in Haiti.
Their teachers show up every day because they believe in what education can do. Your support pays their salaries, puts food on the table, and keeps the school doors open.
Jela Hope Centre also works with young people through its English youth club — teaching new skills and showing them a path forward.
